Our Dental Team > Dr. First

Dr. First graduated from Forest Park Community College and worked as a dental hygienist before returning to school and graduating from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school Dr. First received numerous awards, including the Dentsply Removable Prosthodontics Award and the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award.

A past president of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society, Dr. First sits on the American Dental Association’s Committee on Dental Education and is a member of many professional organizations. She is also a clinical associate professor at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. First especially enjoys working with seniors, improving their comfort, dental function, and appearance with modern dentures. Dr. First is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists. Dr. First is also a member of Xi Psi Phi Dental Fraternity Supreme Chapter and is 2nd vice president of the organization. She also helps with the Interfraternity Council.
