Composite Resin and Amalgam
Fillings in St. Louis, MO
Cavities have been around as long as teeth. Tooth
fossils from the Iron Age contain cavities, and today most of us
have had at least one cavity by adulthood. It makes sense to turn
to Dr. Quade and Dr. First for custom-shaded, tooth-colored composite
resin fillings to maintain and enhance your beautiful smile.
Appearance isn’t the only reason to choose
composite resin fillings. Minimal tooth structure is removed when
placing a composite resin because we use adhesive for tiny fillings.
Composite resin is also usually stronger than amalgam fillings because
of the strong bond between tooth structure and filling material.
However, if you prefer the value and proven reliability
of silver amalgam fillings, Dr. Quade and Dr. First will use this
traditional material.
For more information on fillings, see the composite
resin and amalgam articles
in our patient library. Then contact
Dr. Quade or Dr. First at our Florissant and St. Charles family
dental offices to schedule your visit.
