DIAGNOdent is a small, portable laser that gives
an audible alert to tell us that you have a cavity or demineralization,
which indicates the initial stages of caries and decay that isn’t
readily visible by X-ray or by eye. DIAGNOdent detects very small
cavities that may be missed in a manual oral exam. When we treat
and halt cavities in the early stages, they won’t become bigger
problems later, making large, more costly restorations unnecessary.
