The Team
The team at Dr. Quade and Dr. First’s offices
provides first-rate care with a friendly smile and attitude. Most
team members have been with Dr. Quade and Dr. First since they opened
their practice. In fact, the average tenure is more than 18 years!
 Deena
Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)
Deena has been with Dr. First since 1995. An honors
graduate of St. Louis Community College, she holds a Certificate
of Specialization in Dental Assisting and a Certificate of Competency
for Expanded Functions in dental anatomy and morphology, placement
of restorative materials, and fixed & removable prosthetics,
and is a member of the American Dental Assistants Association. Married
with two children, Deena likes scrap booking and card making, working
in her yard, and spending time with family and friends at the river.
Her relationships with staff and patients are the best things about
her job, and she enjoys helping patients “love their smile!”
 Joyce
Receptionist/Dental Assistant
Joyce has been working in the field of dentistry
since 1976. She has been with Dr. First and Dr. Quade since 1995.
She holds Certificates of Competency for Expanded Functions in placement
of restorative material and for dental anatomy & morphology.
Joyce is married with two adult children. Free time will find her
reading, walking, and spending time with family. She loves the people
at work and getting to know her patients.
 Mary
Jo
Receptionist/Dental Assistant
Mary Jo has over 30 years of dental experience.
She holds a Certificate in Dental Assisting and a Certificate of
Competency for dental anatomy & morphology, in addition to a
Certificate of Expanded Functions in placement of restorative materials
and fixed & removable prosthetics. Mary Jo has two adult sons
and spends her recreational time bike riding, boating, reading,
and attending Cardinal’s games with her family. She appreciates
the comfortable atmosphere at our office and loves the wonderful
patients she has met throughout her career.
 Gail
Dental Hygienist
Gail is a registered hygienist with an associate's
degree and has been working in the field of dentistry since 1990.
She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association and
the Greater St. Louis Dental Hygienists' Association. Married with
four children, Gail reads for enjoyment. She loves meeting the variety
of new people who are patients at our office.
 Christa
Dental Hygienist
Christa has an associate's degree in dental hygiene
and has been working for Dr. First and Dr. Quade since 1990. She
is a member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association and the
Greater St. Louis Dental Hygienists' Association. Married with two
boys, she lists reading and computers as some of her main interests.
Christa loves the group of people she works with and feels they
are like family. Meeting new people and helping our patients achieve
optimakl oral health are what she likes most about her job.
 Marilyn
Dental Hygienist
Marilyn earned an associate's degree in dental
hygiene in 1973 and has been a member of this office for most of
those years. A member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association
and the Greater St. Louis Dental Hygienists' Association, she enjoys
gardening, sewing, and spending time with her two adult sons and
friends. Marilyn truly likes the people she works with, and she
loves helping patients maintain a healthy mouth.
 Jan
RETIRED: Receptionist/Business Office
Jan has been one of the friendly voices on the
phone at Dr. First and Dr. Quade's offices since 1987. She greets
patients, schedules appointments, assists patients with their recare
appointments and handles a host of other duties making our office
run smoothly. A proud mother and grandmother, Jan enjoys church
work, spending time with her grandchildren and reading. She is grateful
for time spent with her co-workers and the opportunity to know and
serve our patients.
Retired now, but you might still see her smiling face around the office as she occasionally fils in for us.
