Dr. Louise First, Dentist

Dr. Louise First has called this practice home since she was just 19 years old, and her dedication to patient care has only deepened over the decades since. She earned her degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and went on to graduate from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 1993, later completing a residency at SIU in Implant Dentistry.

Dr. First’s career is distinguished by a remarkable list of honors and leadership roles. She is a recipient of the Removable Prosthodontics Award and the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award, and was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society. A Fellow of both the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists, she served as a Clinical Associate Professor at SIU School of Dental Medicine for 20 years. She is a past president of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society, a former member of the ADA Committee on Dental Education and Licensure, and currently serves on the society’s Peer Review Committee. She also represents her profession as a delegate to both the Missouri and ADA Houses of Delegates, and gives back by seeing patients through Donated Dental Services of Missouri.

Above all, Dr. First simply enjoys working alongside her patients to help them achieve and maintain their health. Her goal is for everyone to leave her practice feeling they’ve had a “well cared for” experience.

Outside the office, she stays active by sailing, golfing, and bicycling, and treasures time spent with her grandkids. She’s an ABBA fan, loves The Sound of Music, and enjoys traveling with her family.
